We went to Amelie's on the recommendation of a friend after dinner one night. The place is bigger than it seems from the outside, which is good because it was super busy and from what I hear, that is the norm. We were there around 8 PM on a Saturday and the line went from the register well into the... More

I come to Amelie's more frequently now due to it being a central location for my business meetings. I must say I love this place. The atmosphere is nice and the people are friendly. The sweets are delicious!

Very nice place to hangout, anytime of the day. Located in a nice area, close to downtown. Mostly people are there to enjoy for an hour or two. Coffee, cookies, cake or pastries. The only thing which they are missing is the ice-cream.

Today marked at least the third very bad customer service experience in what would otherwise be one of my favorite places in Charlotte. Well I've had enough of this crap! From rude cashiers to incompetent cooks, this place really needs to get it together. Sure, the pastries are good, the coffee is OK and the atmosphere is quirky and cool.... More

We actually passed Amelia's up a couple of times...but when we discovered that Panera was closed that day..we went back...and oh my goodness....we were SO glad we did! We had the best coffees (I had a mocha) and chocolate pastries that were absolutely to die for!!!! I wish that I was staying in Charlotte longer after we discovered Amelia's...because I... More

I made a point of stopping every day that I was in town. I tried different pastries and they were all delicious. Coffee is really fresh and good quality. Location is easy to find and it is just a small little place with limited seating but lots of lovely spots across the street.

Granted, we visited on Mother's Day but it was crazy busy. We had croissant and baguette sandwiches which were fabulous, flaky and crusty respectively. Wonderful French press coffee also. The apricot fruit tart and and strawberry-pistachio croissant were wonderful sweets to end on. Do go. Eclectic atmosphere and seating goes way around in the back.

They serve great sandwiches, awesome pastries and good coffee. I went there with family and friends and everyone had a wonderful time. We’ve tried their yummy chicken salad and roast beef sandwiches, both had croissant as bread which was a pleasant surprise! We also tried different French macaroons which were delightful. And we also had chocolate éclairs and caramel brownie... More

Definitely worth visiting if you're in Charlotte. The atmosphere is the best part about this place; the French-inspired décor and funky chandeliers add an instant "cool" to the place. Their desert and coffee and tee drinks are also great. EXCEPT The Napolean desert, I had 2 times and it's below standards. I tried almost every other pastry and they're all... More

First off, I have to say this place has amazing pastries. Secondly, they are one of the few places open 24/7 in Charlotte, which is another huge plus. The decor is fabulous and the taste takes you back to Paris, whether you have been there before or not. My faves are the salted caramel brownie (salty, chewy and chocolatey perfection)... More
