My family and I went to Hillsborough BBQ last night. My first thought was that trying to get a table on a Friday night was going to be difficult. But we were seated right away!!! Everyone ordered, and the food was at our table 10 minutes later. Everyone had to get a different dish, and we all passed our plates... More

First, you will need a GPS or a good map to find this place. Once you do, you won't be disappointed. Another great example of small town southern hospitality. The location isn't fancy but the experience is wonderful. Friendly staff (and plenty of them) waited on us with enthusiasm and grace. The choices were many, but we came for the... More

I knew it would be good when we pulled up across the street and there in front of the restaurant were three horses wait for their owners to eat. Yes, you read that right, horses. Delightful! The food is delicious, true to tradition southern BBQ. We had BBQ Beef with slaw, corn puddin' and fries and a BBQ Pork sandwich,... More

They have the best BBQ and brisket in town and all the sides are worth a try. The Mac cheese is very good, and the green beans are seasoned to perfection. Nice atmosphere for dining, nice to sit outside at the picnic tables, and a great place to sit at the bar. Try the habanero beer on draft, it's great... More

We arrived shortly after they opened on a Sunday and were quickly seated. The entire restaurant was seated and a wait list started before anyone got food. Our server was also doing take out orders and it took a LONG time to get our food. That said- really good chicken, pulled pork, corn pudding. So so on the fries. I... More

Having grown up eating BBQ all of my life in greasy spoon restaurants with the same old menu that everybody else has just doesn't excite me anymore. However eating dinner at the Hillsboro BBQ Company last Saturday evening was a very pleasant surprise! Not only do they have excellent BBQ, but they also have grilled chicken, catfish, and the most... More

I pushed my husband to try this restaurant out and we are so glad we did as the atmosphere, host, wait-staff and food were all exceptional !!! It's a very busy local eatery which we always like to find, and were lucky they still had a seat available when we arrived for lunch! Pamela was such an exceptional waitress and... More

Hillsborough BBQ Company is a bit out of the way as it is not in the historic area of this 259 year old town. My husband and I drove the extra mile to get some excellent barbecue. We both wanted to try their wood smoked beef brisket as that is rather a rarity in North Carolina. Most barbecue joints in... More

We traveled there with our family of 6, while visiting for the weekend. 2 adults, 3 children and 1 baby. Small place so there was a bit of a wait (30 min). Not too bad for a Saturday night, we just went next door to the Depot and shopped around. They even send a hostess over to get you! Prices... More
