Loved the fresh seafood. Didn't love being charged two dollars for a side of ranch. Great spot, but I fervently dislike it when restaurants pull the nickel-and-dime on me. Other than that, service was solid, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the food rocked.

Very nice little local shop that serves all kinds of yummy plates. Enough said. Don't hesitate to try this quaint place where the locals seem to go!

Two of us visited Food Dudes around 1230 on Sunday, They are open from 11:00 to 3:00 on Sunday. Waitress took our drink orders and food orders quickly, but that was the only bright spot. When food was ready, it sat on the kitchen counter for over five minutes, waitress walked by the food at least three times, so it... More

We were disappointed after reading good reviews. They were out of crab cakes. I had the fish tacos. Nothing great about them, or the beans & whatnot that came along with those. Our kids thought the quesadillas were good. It was a small, beachy, local place. The service was friendly. Looked like locals stopped in for a drink or take-out.

We found this place listed on a website citing local restaurants with vegetarian options. We were surprised at how small it was when we pulled up, but we were amazed at the quality and taste of the food once we received it! Yum! Everything is super fresh with great flavor and the menu has a wide variety of options (including... More

If you are looking for a local secret not known by everyone that visits the Outer Banks that offers great food, try this place! It is small so don't bring your house of 10 people. Couples or a group of 4 can fit in easily. If you get the fish it will be fresh that day, or they don't serve... More

We stopped here on our way out of town. The food was fantastic! Portions were huge but the prices were reasonable. We all tried something different and everyone was happy. Atmosphere was very cool but the place is very small so you might consider an "off schedule" time. We will be back!

At the insistence of my daughter we tried this small, almost un-noticeable little restaurant in the middle of a small strip shopping center between a lamp shop and a framing shop. As others described it, it was funky in a good way. Servings were huge. I and my daughter had grilled mahi-mahi on panko-fried potato cakes, and my wife had... More

Food Dudes has become a favorite place to eat when my wife and I go to the Outer Banks for our anniversary. This trip we both got the Panko Fried Rockfish special ($18.95) served over Jasmine rice with an Asian veggie saute and wasabi-soy aioli. It was great! The portions were large (to the extent that we discussed sharing an... More

Had the pleasure of lunch at Food Dudes on the OBX last week. My buddy & I each had fresh fish wraps - mahi and rockfish. Sooo fresh, with a great blend of flavors and very well prepared. It's a very small and kind of funky surfer joint in a tiny strip mall on the beach road with a down... More
