Great Italian/ Mediterranean dishes in an upscale atmosphere that is wholly unexpected in the tiny town of Welcome, NC. Food was delicious, portion sizes were just right. Prices are a bit higher than most locals normally pay but well in line with the level of cuisine being presented. The only negative we had was the service was initially very slow...... More

The Reuben sandwich was excellent; corned beef was most flavorable and moist and the rye bread was wonderful. The Reuben is enough for 2 or get a doggie bag for later. Not a fan of the homemade chips as they were too salty and brown, so will try another side.

I can understand why this is a local favorite since there's mostly family restaurants nearby, but this place is definitely over-rated. Food was okay, but not much variety. I had the "spiced chicken" and it was no better than rotisserie chicken from the grocery store. I had to send back my "new potatoes" because they'd been cooked to a crisp.... More

Ate as a group at Dion's and the food Chef Dion prepared was out of this world. Especially the Salmon. New York steaks and salads were delicious. Everything we ate was delicious.

Food was very good but just not much there. Had the sirloin steak and it only came with fries. You would think a mixed veggie or something else would come with it so I was still hungry afterwards. A salad will run you 5/6 dollars more. A basket of bread to start the night would have been ideal especially since... More

We tried Fresh Grouper, Crab Cakes, She-Crab soup and Bananas Foster. Fish is purchased directly from the docks in NC each week via a restaurant purchasing coop. It's as fresh as can be. He receives his delivery on Thursdays. The grouper was prepared Mediterranean style with tomato and caper base, artichokes and potato. Cooked to perfection !! The She Crab... More

Even though this restaurant is a little out of the way in Welcome, NC, it is worth the trip. The service from the staff and the owner was outstanding, probably the most attentive staff of any restaurant in the triad area. Food was excellent and priced accordingly for the menu items. We will make this a regular restaurant on our... More

These folks have a vested interest in the success of their business - food was phenomenal. We were on bar b q overload and Dion's mediterranean menu was just the break we needed. Trout on jasmine rice with crab was out of this world delicious. Wish we lived closer!

This restaurant is located in our community and we had heard mixed reviews --- most folks like the food, but some thought it was too pricey for our little rural community. We decided to try it one weeknight on the spur of the moment and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The food was delicious, prices were very reasonable for this type... More
