Wow. It was like we were in Brooklyn without the hipper-than-thou attitude. Right down the server in the skinny jeans and bow tie and suspenders without irony. He was, like everyone else we encountered in NC, absolutely so kind and charming. The restaurant was a bit surprising, as it looks like a small old-timey deli with a cold case (with... More

The Brine and Bottle is certainly worth the trip if you love gourmet, unique presentations of food. It was casual yet upscale dining. My husband ordered the shrimp and grits, said it was the best. I ordered soup-the best asparagus soup Ive had- and a mozzarella appetizer. We just loved the ambience-beautiful view of the sound!

We loved our meal at the Brine and the Bottle! The menu is small but very creative, and delicious!! The atmosphere is casual but chic, and the service was very good. My husband had the shrimp and grits and I had the Snapper with a strawberry BBQ glaze. Both were great!! We will go back next time we are in... More

This restaurant is THE BEST! Can't say enough good things about the food and staff. Our server's name was Laura and she was so helpful and nice. She helped us with several recommendations because there were so many good things to choose from and she certainly didn't steer us wrong. You absolutely have to have the Shrimp and Grits. You've... We live on the OBX & eat at some very nice restaurants. This one is up there with the very best. We were a party of 4 & had a wonderful view of the sound. The food was excellent and very tasty. We had three appetizers, the soft shell crab, the mozzerella & the asparagus. For dinner the Mahi Mahi... More

Wonderful little place located right on the water. The service was wonderful and we were made to feel right at home. Laura, our server was very personable, pleasant and welcoming. We also, by chance, visited with one of the chefs Drew, who was also very personable and kind enough to take the time to make some recommendations for our trip... More

The Brine and Bottle is my favorite in Nags Head. Though the menu is limited, the preparation is excellent. We started with the fried pickles, then my wife enjoyed the beef tenderloin while I had shrimp and grits. Great choices.

Intimate setting with a polished casual feel overlooking the water. Our party of four tried several small plates--ramps (interesting green/weed) fried oysters (fantastic),asparagus, then lambchops, beef filet, shrimp and grits and sea trout with risotto--all well received. The shrimp and grits are especially pleasing, tasteful and have an interesting presentation. The cobbler and chocolate terrine we all shared and enjoyed.... More

We had the fried pickles and they were quite tasty. Portions were small in size but that allowed us to try more things. The pineapple cobbler is a must have. Great music and good service made this place a keeper.
