If you're visiting Wrightsville Beach you should make time for breakfast or lunch at this classic institution of family-friendly down home service. In season plan to wait on theirporch, or run next door for some quick shopping at Redix. We live here and always bring our guests. It's crowded and noisy but all in a good way!

Busy spot, only game in town, good food, somewhat limited menu but lots of waffle choices. Great service from very busy bustling servers. Food was good, not awesome, but the place was fun and worth a return.

A group of 7 friends and I stopped in at the causeway cafe for lunch on the day we arrived in Wrightsville Beach. The seafood was very fresh and delicious. I had the crab meat sandwich and it was very good. The service is also first rate, and although it was crowded, we got in really fast. Recommended 100%!

Eating breakfast at The Causeway is necessity to experience a full Wrightsville Beach experience. It is busy, fast and crowded during "tourist season," but the food is good and the service friendly. Bonus is you are as likely to spot a ":celebrity" here as any restaraunt in the area.

I love a local diner, but not impressed with this one. Much better food and service at David's Deli. See separate review. Breakfast is great! Fresh (yes, really fresh) crab omelet with swiss cheese and hollandise sauce is the best. Lunch menu is full of local fresh fish dishes and Chef Taylor will cook your meal any way you want it. It is a fun place with lots of local flavor - the food and the ambiance.

Unless you get here early, there will be a wait but it is worth it. The eggs Neptune are great; waffles are to due for.

Awesome menu, great food, good service, highly recommend. But, take cash, they do not accept credit cards.

Best grub in an unassuming atmosphere. Come early cause the word is out on the Causeway Cafe. The food and service are amazing. These folks care! I would eat here daily if I lived at the beach.
