Great dogs! Great place! We LOVE Trolley Stop... Especially the North Carolina dog! And Pink Lemonade!
We visited here after hearing some rave reviews and reading about it in a magazine. Overall, I was unimpressed. The boiled and slightly lukewarm hot dog reminded me of something I would have eaten at a middle school lunch room. The toppings were the high point of the hot dog as they seemed to be tasty, but I just couldn't...

Hot dogs; chips; drinks. That's about it. So know what you are going for - if you want variety it's gonna be in the toppings! Among the 4 of us we had a variety of the 100% beef dogs (you have to ask for beef if you want it). We tried North Carolina style (chili and slaw - some with...

We went for our mid morning walk on the beach, then stopped by the Trolley Stop for their North Carolina dogs (dog with mustard, chili, and cole slaw). Who would have thought of such a combination, but it was great! Nice price and great folks behind the counter
They're getting a little pricey, but it's worth it. Great place for a quick snack when visiting Wrightsville Beach.
They make the hot dog the way you want it, have all the toppings you could want, the hot dog is cooked perfectly, and the people are great. During busy times the wait may be as much as 15 minutes, but that's faster than almost anything else on the island.
We always make a point of going by the Trolley Stop. Everyone had their favorite. I love the chili cheese dog with onions. I only eat 2 or 3 hotdogs a year and this is the only place I get them from. Check the hours online as they vary quite a bit. I can't wait to go back!
My family knows that I cannot pass up a hot dog stand, house, hut or whatever. We stopped to purchase some dry clothes after a minor mishap on the beach and discovered the Trolley Stop around the corner. The place was packed and for good reason. The variety of tube steaks was remarkable with five types of dogs with over...

I have been eating hotdogs at the Trolly Stop for thirty years. I had yet another one a few days ago. I love this little joint.
My wife introduced me to this place when we were dating those many years ago. I just love it. Apparently it was actually a trolly stop decades ago. Now it's a tiny little hotdog...

I love Trolley Stop! I have to say the Banks Channel dog is my favorite. It has mayo and cheese on it. YUM! The Chicago is my second favorite with tomatoes, onions, and cumcumbers. If the line is long, don't worry it's worth the wait!
