It was 2 years ago when I last ate here with my wife. Had lunch at the Backeddy today, food was average, service extremely slow (1 hour & 20 minutes) for fish & chips. Too bad these places can never keep it together for long periods of time, maybe their Chef moved on to another restaraunt?

Very friendly and helpful staff, great beer, awesome local prawns (I wanted more!) and can't beat the views of the water.

Very friendly staff. The seafood chowder was great and the view beautiful. FYI...no dogs allowed on patio.

We were hungry after the hike to the rapids and dropped in here. The crab cakes were superb and were followed solid fish and chips. Interesting selection of beers too.
