We ate at La Lunita on a Thursday night in June, the off season. We were the only people in the place. It was like having a private chef! The view of Half Moon Bay is stunning and the food was excellent. The food was gourmet excellent and priced well. We highly recommend La Lunita

This restaurant has such a romantic feel to it. The menu is limited, but there is a little something for everyone. The waiters are superb and will take very good care of you during your visit. Very affordable.

My husband and I have been to Akumal 5 times in the last 4 years! This place has the best food and atmosphere when it comes to restaurants in Akumal. It is on the pricey side, a bit fancy but not pretentious. Amazing views, good food and good wine.

It is a little more pricey, but it's worth every penny for the ambience and the delicious food. Did I mention romantic? The bartenders are fantastic the food is tasty and the owners and locals will point you to their special concoctions. You leave with a smile and satiated palate.

menu covers fish, meat & vegetarian. There are always some interesting, tasty local Yucatecan flavor dishes and the selection varies with the seasonal availability. Good bar with wine & beer choices, come to relax and take your time for this experience.

We stayed in Akumal from April 27 thru May 4 and ate here three times. Two people in our group are vegetarians and had vegetarian fajitas that they raved about. The vegetarian fajitas are not on the menu but our vegetarian friends just asked the waiter and he recommended them. Two other people in our group had the bacon wrapped... More

We like going to La Lunita for lunch as the menu is much more reasonable and the view of Half Moon Bay is amazing. The waiter today presented us with dinner menus at lunch. As we've been there before I asked for the lunch menus; he acted like he didn't understand and I went asked the bartender. I'm not sure... More

Sitting outside under the stars just a few feet away from the Caribbean Sea....heaven! The food is delicious and the wine very nice. I've eaten here many times and have enjoyed the improvements made through the years. One of them being a bit more food in each entree. The service is quite good and will continue to return each visit... More

Loved the atmophere here, on the beach, quiet. Perfect place for a quiet romantic meal with your honey. The food was excellent. We went just for oysters one night (if you like oysters don't miss this) and had full meals another night. I tried chargrilled octopus, which felt a little risky, but OMG I had no idea octopus could taste... More

This is a beautiful, romantic and magical spot to dine. Great attention to the room; hard to imagine a more perfect setting for dinner with the candle light everywhere, tables in the sand and the waves of the ocean as your background music. The menu is thoughtful and has interesting choices. The beast of it all is poor consistency. We... More
