Dumplings and beef ceviche apps were excellent, chicken wings and foie gras dish were good. Unfortunately we also got the mains. The pork shank was a ridiculously large, greasy mess. It was like they slow-cooked it then threw it into the deep fryer to finish. The beef cheeks were a decent stew I could've made myself at home, again, in the... More

Before attending a show at Playhouse Square I thought I would give Cowell & Hubbard a try. As a chef I am always interested in finding new food destinations. Unfortunately, Zach Bruell's new venture is not even worth a stop, never mind a destination. First the bar service was slow and the bartender was not the most welcoming of servers... More

What an amazing restaurant! Angela, our server, was extremely familiar with the entrees, sides and wine and gave us outstanding service. The menu selections were varied and exciting, and the food was delicious and beautiful. The sauteed radishes, which we shared as an appetizer, were amazing. The salads were beautiful and deicious. And the entrees (we had the scallops and... More

We will definitely return to Cowell and Hubbard after the meal we had last night! The service was fantastic, and the food was even better. We tried two appetizers: the pork stack and the escargot. Both were flavorful and interesting. And the bread is perfect for cleaning up the extra sauce from the appetizers. My husband got the curry duck... More

... and it used to be an old jewelery store. This is one of my favorite restaurants and I am pleased that it is located right here in Cleveland. We've eaten here several times now and never have had a bad experience. I think the crispy pork stack is one of my favorite appetizers but we've also had the butternut... More

Located in the Theater District, this is a place that is refined in its furnishings and layout. The food was quite good, the drinks were good, service was mostly good. It's low key (which is not a bad thing) though my visit was late evening on a Thursday and there were not many patrons remaining. This is a fine dining... More

We've been looking forward to a delicious dinner at Zak B's newest hot spot. The atmosphere is totally appealing sleek red upholstery with monochromatic metals and lighting. Very cool. The noise level was perfect, vibe music worked well with conversation. Our server was sweet and didn't hurry us to order. We ordered the shrimp stuffed peppers, fish dumplings and thai... More

un-good start: waiter opened with a story of his ER visit to cleveland clinic - where we'd spent a tiring day - complete with gory details. it was the last thing we needed, and all about him; i had to change the subject to our dinner. my husband enjoyed his meal; mine was just okay, and the waiter's frequent query...
