This restaurant is, in my opinion, grossly over-rated and over-priced - and I speak here as a local Bexhillian who knows what's available elsewhere in the town and surrounding area. £4.95 for a pint of Belgian beer is an absolute ripoff..

We are sorry you felt this way about your experience at bistro 45. However, we do also note that you have given no details on your experience, only on the price of the beer. All of our beer is premium Belgian beer, where we stock over 25 different bottles and one draught option. Due to the fact it is higher...

Mussels and chips - best we have had this side of France. Generous portions. Delightful staff, quirky interior, and just a lovely enjoyable evening.......worth the trip from London. Best to book on a Saturday night.
I did not book just turned up one evening and the fish was wonderful I did not try the speciality mussels but did have a good Belgian beer, staff first class and pleased to see you
What a treat to find somewhere that offers everything. Our first night out in Bexhill and we come across this little gem. The food was faultless, served in quirky surroundings by bubbly staff. So good that we went back a second night in one holiday. 5* as they say on eBay :-)
Bloke talking now; not a cheap night out...

From the funky, relaxed vibe on the seafront and the pleasant service, this is now a regular visit for us in Bexhill. The mussels are great, with 45 different styles to choose from, and I can also recommend the home made burger. Good prices and belgian beer available.
Just returned from another lovely evening, and as usual, the service was second only to the food. Delicious mussels, great fruit beers, and friendly staff. You just can't get better than this! I'm sure it won't be long before we're back again.
If you like mussels, then this place is great! Other dishes are expensive, for what is a very trashy chic looking bistro. It's certainly not a posh night out, but it IS worth a trip to get a wide range of mussel dishes.
This was our first visit and we'll definitely return. Good service, lovely food. The decor looks like a teenagers bedroom a mismatch to the cuisine on offer. Some dishes are overpriced but overall very relaxed and worth a return visit.
I recently went to Bistro 45 with a friend to celebrate her birthday, this was both the first time visiting the restaurant, thought we would give it a go. We loved it, the food was gorgeous and the service was just as brilliant. We were unsure of what to get, so we asked the waitress what one of the sauces...

Had a lovely meal here last Saturday - food excellent as was the service and great atmosphere and all very friendly. We certainly recommend it and will be returning in the not too distant future.
This little restaurant is set in the lovely part of Bexhill opposite the sailing club and over looking the sea. I'm enclosing some pictures I've...
