We popped over to Cowes for a day trip on Tuesday 11th June 2013 and decided to eat in at Corries for a Spot of lunch with our 2 year old lad. We had had takeout from there when in Cowes last year, and it was as good as we remembered. Lovely fresh chips and the child's portion of fish... More

Brilliant fish and chips - lovely fresh fish and 'proper' chips ! We ate in the attached cafe which was really nice and at the end of the meal they gave us a cheeky 'fishy' postcard and little white chocolate 'fish and chips' which were a lovely suprise. Highly recommended!

We have been going to Corries Cabin for years and always found it one of the best Fish and Chip restaurants anywhere, it still is very good but not all of the fish is fresh and locally caught, on the day we went only the Huss was, and it was delicious, my Cod was 'frozen when caught' , ie fresh... We visited yesterday for a very late lunch - waitress - although busy serving other customers - greeted us on arrival and was friendly throughout. The food was lovely and we all enjoyed it including my very fussy 5 year old. Would certainly visit again if we are in Cowes.

If your after a quality fish and chip restaurant then look no further. Beautifully cooked fish in light batter crispy chips and mushy peas to die for. Well priced and also licensed with a good selection of wines, beers and cider.

We have been to Corries a number of times in the past couple of years. When on form it cannot be beaten, but unfortunately all to often the food is average and certain staff are unwelcoming. Fish & Chips is no longer a cheap takeaway after work or following a night out. A higher standard from takeaway food is now... More

Visited here on a weekend trip to the Isle of Wight, and came back on the 2nd day for lunch again. Very impressed with the quality of the food, friendly service and clean and tidy restaurant. It was a very quiet day in Cowes but the restaurant was full and we were lucky to get a table on our second... More

Really busy when we went but had a fab Cod and chips each with waitress service. Even though really busy was served within 5 minutes.

Popped into Corries Cabin after reading some of the reviews and wasn't disappointed. We amused ourselves by reading the entertaining menu but didn't have to wait long. Easily the best fish and chips I've ever had, the batter was gorgeous and piping hot, and the service was friendly. An added bonus was a chocolate fish and chip with the bill... More

We stopped by on a recent visit to Cowes, and the food was pretty good, with a nice fresh crispy batter, but the fish was a little bland. It was a watery, as if cooked from frozen. Value for dine in was reasonable, and it's kid friendly.
