the outside is lovely however try not to sit inside as not so clean. food ok, there is better and happier places to go in the town
We arrived as they were closing, because it was a miserable Sunday and they had been very quiet. The owner took us in though, and fed us. It was lucky actually, because two more tables came in afterwards. I had lamb shanks which were really tasty, and my friends had salmon cakes. A glass of house red with it, and... More
This is such a odd saugasge, the outside is great dusguise as the inside serves the nicest lunch menu on the sea front. The food is cooked properly, after you've placed an order so don't expect to fly in and fly out in under 4 mins. Quailty, value, choice, portion, freshness, service you'll find hard to top.
We used to drive up to Margate frequently from London just to go to the Harbour Cafe for a lovely weekend lunch of roasts, burgers, and dessert because it was so homely, scrumptious food. The atmosphere was also quaint and unpretentious. The beach and surrounds were the bonus at the time. Today we decided to revisit this place since we... More
Popped in for a Sunday Fry Up.... and was not disappointed, lovely ambiance, great staff and a lovely 'clean' fry up! Will be returning!
I have been to this place for breakfast / tea and coffee for several times over the years and thought it nice. But I recently stopped by for a cooked breakfast with a few friends and I must say it was pretty awful. Half of the breakfast was cold, and the hash browns were actually inedible because they were VERY... More
Mediocre burger that I wouldn't feel the need to comment on until I saw the owner of this place stocking up on frozen salmon and prawns from Aldis up the road. Locally sourced food but completely out of context!!!
Went for a late breakfast in Margate - doesn't look much as you approach the restaurant but inside is very nice. Food was good quality, sausages had a good meat content and the bacon was decent, service was friendly. We had two full breakfasts, a bacon sandwich and a bacon and egg sandwich. Along with two lattes and two hot... More
Recently met a mate here with my partner & little girl for breakfast. Really shocked when got the bill for nearly £40. The same at another local cafe (with better food) a couple of weeks previously had come to £26. Be sure to check the prices before you order. Margate does not command London prices - I won't be back.
First time here this evening, went with my four children and Husband, saw the menu, felt it to be over priced for market ( Margate is not Kensington, never will be) but at least my expectations were high, I thought to myself '' if they are confident enough to charge these prices in a town full of food joints, then...
