Well, we needed a bathroom stop and thought why not have some lunch. Well you should see the warning signs, empty car park, only one table occupied. Very bad smell of cooking fat. Bathroom reasonably clean but window had been broken and no attempt to repair or patch up. On leaving we noticed the kitchen, if we had seen this... More

Had two Breakfasts here when staying at the Travelodge next door. Both well cooked by really helpful and friendly staff. However the place is showing the usual Little Chef lack of attention to property maintenance which is very bad.

We always ate in Little Chefs for years on our travels, so as we had been on quite a long journey, we thought we would stop and have a late lunch, when we first went in the place was ice cold and had to ask if there was any heating on,she said no only the aircon,as they had been busy, then she... We stopped in here after stopping in the travel lodge next door. We left it a bit later to miss the morning rush but I must say the food was appalling. My wife had cereal... Something you pay £2 odd for a box you can get 6 off in a supermarket for 99p. I had the stuffe nutty. Cold bacon,... More

I had a steak and ale pie, with mash and veggies. Given it is a reheated frozen/ chilled meal, I did wonder how they managed to overcook the pie and mash so much. This was very basic, and still couldn't get it right. I only gave them 2 stars because the waitress was friendly and helpful. Sitting in a slightly... More

We stopped at the travel lodge next door and rather than travel to civilisation chose to eat at the little chef after looking at the menu. Food was well presented service very good and well priced drinks. Using discount voucher from the travel lodge, four main courses and a bottle of wine was less than £40

Great service and very quick, I felt sorry for the staff because some of the customers were down right rude! The food was a bit expensive but it is a service station, the coffee was awful! I would definatly stop here again, get the vouchers off thier website for some great deals, we had 20% off the bill.

We turned up here a few weeks ago on a frosty morning, full of nostalgia for a little chef breakfast. On entering the place only had a few people in and had a musty smell. No nice bacon smells wafting The place was freezing, the waitress asked where we would like to sit, I said somewhere warm, another waitress walked... More

Food was up to usual standard for a little chef. I particularly like their pancakes. Staff were friendly and waiting time for food and service was good.

We had fish and chips in the evening plus bacon/sausage butties at breakfast. All very good. There was a discount as we were staying at the adjacent Travelodge.
