Stopped in here on our way out of Norman. We almost didn't stop as parking is almost non-existent. This is *just* north of the OU campus and even in the 'off' season it's crowded. The atmosphere is nice; an older building done very nicely. Food is good solid fare. We both had burgers, they were both thick and juicy. Service... More

I went with a large group here and we had a long table set up for us. I had the salmon salad and it was delicious. A lot of people had the shepherds pie and loved it. No one complained about any of their food and all plates were cleaned. The waitress was a little slow on drink refills once... More

We stopped in here after visiting the Sam Noble Natural History Museum. I had never been to a " Gastropub " it was mid-afternoon and we had the kids with us. I imagine the evening atmoshere is quite different. We had an awsome meal. The kids loved their meals. A definate stop when in Norman.

This easygoing spot was the perfect choice for two out-of-towners after a day of sightseeing and driving. No attitude, no complicated, pricey entrees, just old-fashioned, satisfying pub food at a (mostly) reasonable price, dished out by cheerful people who seem to know what they're doing. This kitchen won't win any originality contests, but everything we ordered was tasty--pot roast, shepherd's... More

Upon entering you are welcomed by an interesting attractive space in which to dine. Gastropub is a good description because the menu features items you would find in an English pub along with more traditional American pub fare, but prepared carefully and tastefully to produce a fun dining experience. I chose the garlic meatloaf and it was absolutely delicious, with... More

This is my favorite place to visit for a nice date, or fun quiet and interesting drink with friends. The waitstaff and bartenders are interesting, lively group. Often very accommodating, and always polite. I often return because of the high level of service. The menu is short, and moderately expensive. But wouldn't you rather them do a few things really... Always good. Great food and drinks. I dont recommend going there after 10pm, it gets crowded. I have recommended this place to dozens of my customers and have never had one person not love it. I want everything on the menu. From pot roast nachos to sheppards pie, it all sounds great, and has been so far!

I have eaten here before in the evening and had good luck, so perhaps this was a one-time problem. A friend and I went here on July 4th. It was one of the only places open in Norman. Seating was not a problem, but our server was. When she came to the table, I asked for the vegetarian menu (which... More

Excellent restaurant featuring but not limited to pub food. We have travelled in the UK a lot and have eaten in pubs all over the place. This is the best US equivalent we have discovered, by far. In April we brought three couples from Claifornia and Washington state to the Blackbird. These folks patronize top rated restaurants at home. At... More
