This is truly a timeless college classic. Been there since the 50's and has passed through owners, images, and re-sets. Still worth a visit and your kids will think your "kool".
As it had just rained and turned chilly, we ate inside. There it was a bit dark. As we were a larger group, we got a table in an out-of-the way corner, which was good. We had the pineapple grilled chicken, which came with rice and a salad (mostly iceberg with some tomato). It was quite OK. A couple of... More
The Mont is where it's happening in Norman just about any night if the week. It's a must-stop for dinner while visiting our kids at OU. They love coming here to hang out with their friends. Heck, my husband was a regular here when he lived in Norman, although I'm not sure it was open when he went to OU.... More
if you are in norman and you are looking for a solid place to have a drink outside. come here. they might feel like that are weak when you taste them, but they are not. service at times seems to be good. they are always busy......the waitresses seem to always be in a bad mood, besides that worth the trip
I grew up down the street from The Mont so it holds a place in my heart for local hangouts. If you seek a fun outdoor hangout complete with festive lighting and a misting system...this is the place for you. Be sure to order their queso which is delicious...full of hearty flavor...and top that with a swirl. Pretty much a... More

Atmosphere seemed dingy and underkept. The queso was decent, but all the food seemed very oridinary and not worthy of the hype. A staple to the OU scene, this may be, but I wouldn't go out of my way for the food.
Favorite locals hangout when weather permits outdoor seating. That's what's it's all about at the mont. Great swirls, mediocre food. The place to see and be seen in Norman. Not just for students!
I live just down the street from the Mont, so it's a quick walk away. It's an awesome place to eat at in the warmer months on their awesome patio. Be warned: the patio is extremely popular, so long waits are to be expected. My friend and I will usually put our name down and walk back to the house,... More
