This restaurant is a legend. Typical "diner fare" except for the Calf "Fries". Very clean with wonderful small-town diner atmosphere. Full of locals and Will Rogers Turnpike travelers. Prices are more than fair for the portions on your plate. If your even close to Vinita....don't miss it. The big sign out front says "EAT", and that's what they mean....enjoy!

On our tour of RTE 66 we decided to try Clanton's. Nice lunch. Nothing fancy. Good country cooking. Fast, friendly service. Really busy at lunch. Looks like a real locals hangout.

They are a great place to eat. Most everything has stayed the same for years, the good parts any how. Except for the big counter with bar stools they took about years ago. But the food is still just as good. I love the chicken fried steak or the Thanksgiving special.
