You can't miss Mattie's when you arrive in Brookings (from California). Good place to stop for breakfast. They also serve lunch, but we've only been there for breakfast. Good food, friendly servers. It's usually very busy and crowded so you may have to wait a few minutes. Good portions, reasonably priced.

Our family visited Brookings for our family vacation. This was one of the best resturants we visited on our entire 2 week trip. Everything we tried was excellent.

We have eaten at Matties twice now and we say "they have the best Breakfast" in the U.S. We have had the Blueberry Pancake, Corn beef hash, chicken fried steak and French Toast!

We saw the reviews about Mattie's & decided to try it, we were not disappointed. We had a party of 8. Good food, reasonable prices, good service, and food was ready very fast. They even offered hot wheels for the little ones to play with during the visit!

Always eat here when in town! We come to Brookings just to eat breakfast here. We always get great service here! Very friendly.
