It's our go to place when we havent cooked and we dont know what we are going to have for dinner...we are never disappointed

Two locations having two menus can confuse a little, Willamette location serves the fried stuff only, the other location has grilled and fried. Good quality fish in 15min is nice, pretty much a takeaway only joint with just a few outdoor seats under an awning.

2nd time to Newman's and still a delight. Got the salmon and chips this time, what a treat. Cod and chips was great as well.

Wonderful fresh fish and the staff is very helpful. They provide an ice bag if you're not going right home.

Newman's has been my fav for fish & chips for decades. Love the new Newman's Grotto on Coburg Rd too. Yummy!!!!!!!!

the best clam chowder I have ever tasted. We stop here on the way back from the coast. The building is old and a little shabby, right in keeping with the waterfront neighborhood. Te soup is definitely worth a stop.

The fish is always fresh, the help are knowledgeable and the fish and chips are to die for. The shop on Coburg also sells grilled fish which is nice if you don't want something breaded. Newman's on Willamette also offers cheeses and various other things which cost considerably less than a bigger market down the road.

When the weather is decent. Newmans is our favorite place to get great fish & chips. Always fresh, with a light crust. My favorite is the wild in-season salmon. My husband loves the cod. Both fries and coleslaw are excellent. Scallops, shrimp and other seafood treats round out the menu. Inside dining space is extremely limited.
