Sixty years ago, when I was a small child, my grandfather would take me to get ice cream at Hought's 24 flavors. Mr. Hought, dressed in a white apron, would always greet guests with a friendly smile, and wait patiently as folks looked through all the flavors of ice cream available. My, my, what flavors he had. Even licorice flavor!... More

Love the burgers! Cute fun place - not fast food so if you're in a hurry don't stop - love the atmosphere :)

I loved Houghts. The service was fantastic and the food was great. It is set up as an old fashioned 50s diner, a bit small inside but there is tables outside to eat and its great in the summer. Great burgers too. :)

The customer service was not up to par, both ladies working were slow. The food was good but not worth the 45 min wait

Went for ice cream! The service, ice cream and decor make it fun local's and visitor's stop. Well worth the stop!

Houghts has ok food but it isn't very clean inside, I like clean restaurants. The owner wasn't the friendliest of people I've encountered either. Maybe she was just having a bad day...

My son and I like to go here and sometimes the husband tags along. The ice cream is very good. The food is ok. There is a constant feeling of tension behind the counter though that I don't really like.

They have lots of flavors of hard ice cream and regular food too. The place is small - a step back in time with the decor. The food is basic, but what you'd expect for an old-time ice cream parlor/fountain!

My wife and I have been traveling the NW for a few weeks. Came out of Hell's Canyon and stayed in La Grange. After dinner we stopped in here to get some ice cream. I had two scoops of moose tracks (never had it before, but one of the earlier reviewers liked it) and my wife had a Sundae. They... More

While touring eastern Oregon we stopped in LaGrande were we found a small motel at the edge of town. A walk before dark and about a block from the motel was this little Ice Cream shop with a line outside the door. We found a local hangout and on Friday the free Jutebox nite, pick your '60's songs. Great Curly... More
