My wife and I had lunch here with friends who live in Portland. The restaurant is cozy and charming. There is seating at a small bar for the single diner if desired. The food was excellent and the service was flawless. Our friends couldn't wait to go back to check out the dinner menu and wine list. Highly recommended.

Very good and different ! This is not you typical linguini restaurant. This is a outstanding explosions of flavor and smells. The onion puree soup is one of those delights. You pay for what you get.

What a pleasure to sit down and enjoy a sophisticated 5-course tasting menu of primo Italian food including wine pairings. A small upstairs-downstairs kind of place with a small kitchen with three busy chefs on a Saturday evening putting-out hot and flavorful pastas and sauces. A true hectic bistro, friendly and fun. Wonderful. Will be back.

The service and atmosphere are very good and food quality is excellent. Be expecting the appetizers and pastas to be smaller than you may be accustomed to at other Italian restaurants.

We have been to Mucca Osteria twice now and both times have been excellent experiences. While the restaurant has not been busy both times, let me tell you which reasons CANNOT be for it not being busy... It cannot be the food, the menu is very nice, the perfect amount of sophisticated, and everything we ordered has been delightfully delicious.... More

What Iiked most about Mucca was the smaller, fresh portions at the restaurant. If the dish is made well. Simple with fresh ingredients, it doesn't need to be huge portions to satisify. The place it self if pretty unassuming; just off a trimet train stop in downtown. It is not in oldtown/Chinatown as the description on TA says. It is... More

My husband and I went to this restaurant during a weekend visit to Portland and enroute to the Willamette Valley. It was a Friday evening and the restaurant was pretty quiet but we were early, ie. 6:30 pm. We started with the fresh figs and parma ham. The amount of figs on the plate was miniscuw. We had small pieces... More

Mucca is a wonderful experience. Last night we had the tasting menu at the counter, watching the chefs work. My wife has some dietary limitations and they accomodated her wonderfully. The food and service were great. A highlight of my meal was the calamari in squid ink risotto. Silky smooth calamari and wonderfully al dente risotto. We can't wait to... More

Fairly small Italian Restaurant in a side street We did make a reservation as we wanted to sit inside, since it was in the evening. Food, all courses extremely good. A lovely atmosphere and the staff all very friendly. As we were returning to Vancouver and our wine purchases were over the limit, I asked if we could pay corkage. They... More

I was a solo diner this evening and had a few recommendations from friends. And Mucca Osteria was one of them. And as it was easy to get to (right off the blue line line stop at 10th) I felt this could be just the place for me. It didn't let me down. I was greeted promptly and offered a... More
