Genoa is perhaps Portland's oldest "great restaurant", it was the first foodie destination, started in the 1970s. I have been there several times over the years and was always under-whelmed. However, many friends revere it.

Genoa is famous in Portland for a reason. Amazing chef's menu changes regularly. The 5-course meal--if they are still doing that--will more than fill you up, so go when you are hungry! Expensive, but worth it!
