Went to this restaurant based on the other positive reviews on this board and certainly wasn't disappointed. We both had the fried chicken and I must warn you the portions are huge. Very moist chicken and crunchy coating, just a bit too peppery for my taste but excellent none the less. Would thoroughly recommend but be prepared to wait as... More

It is so delicious! Try the Fried Chicken, Fried Okra, Macaroni and Cheese. Great atmosphere. Modern Southern cuisine.

This funky restaurant in a Portland suburb reminds me of the series "Portlandia". Delicious locally-sourced foods, southern twist, carefully and freshly prepared, served by funky folks. Wine choices excellent and well priced. This chef is a thinking guy who puts great care into his stuff. Busy and bustling and service excellent.

Famous for the great breakfast but expect a LONG wait. free coffee while you stand around outside with the other 50 people waiting to get in. When you get in, food is very good, atmosphere is loud, hard to have a conversation, staff is harried.

We decided to try Screen Door around 8:15 PM on a Saturday night for a more fun anniversary dinner. The wait was about 50 minutes, which was no problem at all since we were expecting a wait ad it was a nice night out. Once seated, we decided to try an app and two entrees. For our app, we chose... My friend and i checked this place out on a Sunday night and it was hoppin' - granted it was Mother's Day so i'm not sure if the crowd was larger than normal, but i get the feeling this place is always busy. We sat on the patio, which really isn't anything special, i think the inside would have had... More

Great food, very busy. Every time I'm in Portland I come here. Biscuits and gravy, brisket hash and especially the praline bacon!

We knew that there would be a wait but never thought it would be almost 1.5 hrs in the rain... We arrived at 6:45 pm on Sat and didn't get seated after 8 pm. I feel bad for the guy who manned the front because he was being pulled every which way. When we got to our table, I think... More

Not sure if it was worth the almost two hour wait! The hostess was rude but the wait staff was great. Food was good and portions were big. No real atmosphere and noisy.

Well, like everyone says, we had to wait about 45 minutes to an hour to be seated. We did go at peak dinner time on a Friday night. Maybe it's better on other nights/times. Upon being seated, it was extremely noisy. I could barely hear my friend across the table from me. It was difficult to carry on a conversation.... More
