We stumbled across Salamander on a side road. The wide selection of fresh fish and choice on the menu were enticing. The food was very nice.

We had an excellent meal at the Salamander. Good choice of dishes, freshly prepared. The restaurant is set back just off the main street but well-worth finding.

We had to reschedule our booking due to ill health and we are so glad we did! The food was absolutely amazing! My boyfriend tried the local John Dory and said it was the best fish he has ever tasted. The atmosphere was bustling, and very resonably priced too. We would be regulars if we were locals.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at the Salamander...so much so, we booked again for later on in the same week! The food was very tasty and presented beautifully...can highly recommend the pork fillet (one of the best meals I've ever had!). Good value for money and great, friendly, efficient service.

The food was superb as was the service, we had two courses and a good bottle of wine for £55 excellent value we will certainly visit again when in the area. Would strongly recommend it if visiting Mevagissey but make a reservation as it was full when we went on Wednesday in mid April
