I lived in Southern California for several years. Great Mexican restaurants were never more than a stone’s throw away. Here in the East they are not so easy to find. My wife and I have tried many with mixed results. This last weekend we visited El Burrito. It is bright, festive and inviting. It is a BYOB restaurant. The service... More

We enjoyed a little last minute date night in this small quaint Mexican place in Downtown Phoenixville. They have very reasonably priced food and nice wait staff. Service is fast, and we have since gone back several times for takeout, because we enjoyed the food and the price! *Please note that I am not sure if they take credit cards.

My husband and I went to "El Burrito" last night. This is the first time we went to this neighborhood restaurant. The place was a no frills kind of place. We ordered the chicken wings. They were OK, but not great. The chicken was not very crispy and was warm at best. The chicken was probably fried and then dipped... More

The best thing I can say is it’s cheap. Would I eat there again? No. I had read some pretty positive reviews, so was looking forward to trying this place. Service was friendly, but food was not very good. It started with a small complimentary basket of chips served with a cup of spicy liquid red sauce, that seems to... More

I love this place! I eat here all the time. The food is superb for the price. I always get the tacos...chicken, steak, fish...all are fantastic. The fajitas and the enchiladas are really good too. The guac is always freshly made. The bonus is the real soda in glass bottles...non of that high fructose corn syrup crap that we get... More

I LOVE this place! It is truly authentic mexican food in a great location, and the prices are amazing! It's the little mom and pop kind of atmosphere in the middle of restaurant row in Phoenixville. We go once a week and LOVE it. Each week, my family can't wait to go. Our favorites are the chicken taco's and the... More

Simple and Good, they cover all the basics well. Pass on the sugary beverages, they are sugar water with little flavor. Tacos, salsa, and guacamole are all a hit.

Look no more - this is the place for you! We've tried all the fancy (expensive) restaurants in downtown Phoenixville, and we like quite a few if them. But El Burrito is home cooking, neighborhood, affordable, quality food. The place is clean, not fancy. The staff is friendly, not arrogant. They are truly appreciative and accommodating. The food is the... More

Every time that I go to El Burrito I am amazed at how delicious the food tastes. My wife and I have been there on a number of occasions and have never been disappointed. The burrito's are fantastic and they make some of the best chorizo sausage we have ever had. The flan is also some of the best around.... More
