I loved the food, but I am Indian-food deprived where I live. Nice staff. I loved everything I ordered. Casual but pleasant atmosphere close to universities, so expect students and professors as dining mates. You can people watch if you're close to the large windows. I'm craving Indian food again just writing this review. Would most definitely go again.

Originally from Pittsburgh and then moved to Baltimore, came to visit friends. We decided upon Indian food and went To Yuva India. Nice bright atmosphere with not your usual cliche of Indian painting adoring the walls but very modern and almost reminiscent of a franchise. Food was spectacular, we had a total of 4 entrees and a Yuva Basket and... More

Went with friends and shared a great meal. I had chicken curry (nice - wanted non-dairy - and the waiter made sure before he let me order - nice). Was very tasty - a little heavy on oil (just a tad for my taste). But the flavor was great. Others in my party were happy - especially the orderer of... More

We went to Yuva one evening with a friend. It wasn't too busy but there were about 7 other people there. My first impression was that the place seems new and clean. The service staff seemed very stiff and we were not sure, if this place attempts to be a proper indian restaurant...it has not yet found it's place here,... More

Just go elsewhere -- this place has poor service, and tiny portions (for the price). The flavor was good, but overall the dining experience was very sub-par.

Went here with family few days ago with a tip from a friend. Fairly new to Pittsburgh the restaurant is by two college campuses and the Carnegie museums. Yuva interior is really nice and clean, the smell of spices in the air, it's great for people wanting to impress or those looking for good Indian food with an atmosphere to... More

We walked into the restaurant not knowing what to expect but were delighted with our choice. We eat a lot of Indian food so we could compare to other places we have been. first of all, the decor is very clean and fresh looking. The walls are all painted cheery yellow & orange colors. There are large photographs of Indian... More

Stunning interior. Bright, clean lines, uncluttered, for better or worse virtually no ethnique influences in the decor, tables set well appart from each other. Walk up to the door on Craig Street and you expect the Star of India, the name of the restaurant that use to occupy the space; walk in and pan cultural chic leaps out to you.... More

We used to frequent this place when it was called Star of India, and it remains a favorite. The decor is slightly different now, but there are many familiar faces. We had samosas, garlic naan, and I had the palak aloo. All the ingredients were fresh and the dishes were delicious. The staff was very friendly and attentive, and everything... More
