What a wonderful meal. We were looking for a good place to dine near The Priory. This reminds one of an old Italian diner without frills until your food is delivered. From soup/salad to dessert, the food is terrific. There were 6 in our party and everyone of us enjoyed our dinner. We will return.

What do you say to someone who enters your Italian restaurant and tells you they can't eat garlic? Chef Dan and his staff said, " no problem", and went on to prepare me a wonderful dinner sans garlic. I can't say enough good things about Legends from the food to the chef and staff. Thanks, we'll be back.

Some of the best Italian food around. We dine in or take out frequently. Been in Pittsburgh for months on business and this is one of our regular stops!

Located close to Allegheny Hospital, Legend is usually crowded. Mostly with folks who prize convenience over dining experience. Our experience was below average on all counts. The only issue open to a reviewer is what was worse; food or service, seating or atmosphere. All were below average and, when compared to other locations on the North Side, well below average.... heard and saw good things. Did not experience such. It is far from being the best Italian in Pittsburgh, or even the best value of almost any restaurant. A lunch Ceaser salad was just a nickel less than Morton's and not nearly as good. But others wanted to go for dinner so we went. At almost $50/couple, it was ridciculously... More

Our Christmas celebration was here for a group of ten on a Saturday night. We had reservations and were quickly seated upon arrival. Our waitress, Janet was an awesome, energetic server. She quickly took our orders for drinks and rapidly brought them. We then ordered our appetizers, Beans and Greens (garlicky and tasty), Mussels (did not try), Fried Mozzarella (crispy... More

The first time that we went there, years ago, they had a special for two which included a bottle of wine. It might now have as much ambience as some other restaurants, but the food is good--Italian and some 'American.' Again, it was handy for us, since we could easily walk there.

The food is great here. I loved the bread that they give you to dip in olive oil! I had a tomato basil ravioli. It was very good.

Everything we ordered was really good. We tried the mussels, the polenta and Italian wedding soup as appetizers. The polenta was delicious, kind of like good fries, in the sense that the outside was crispty and the inside was soft and gooey. The sausage that came with the polenta appetizer was just Ok. But what really worked well instead was... More

The food is authentic & flavorful. We had no idea that you must BYOB. The waitress noticed this & brought us 3 glasses of red wine, gratis, from a bottle left by other guests. What a pleasant & welcome surprise! ☺
