Quick late lunch was delicious! The "Little Piggy Burger" with melted cheddar on top an 2 strips of applewood smoked bacon with string fries was great! Never a better burger - not to mention the smoked Gouda and bacon Mac & Cheese! Youza!

I had a business lunch at this place, and it was great. Everybody commented that their meal was excellent. We ordered one of each of the three lunch appetizers and all were very tasty-the favorite was the smoky mac and cheese. Make sure you order the mac and cheese appetizer. One person (from Charleston) ordered shrimp and grits and commented... More

My wife and I stayed overnight in Columbia, and looked for the best restaurant. Solstice Kitchen did not disappoint us in any way. Great drinks and wine. Shrimp and grits were amazing. Slow cooked pork shoulder melted in our mouths. Do not let the location fool you; this is a top notch place. Don't miss it.

What a wonderful menu--and such fresh and interesting food items. Had a wonderful southern stew that was truly amazing. Others at our table has great fish!!! If you go, ask for a table around the wall -- quite crowded in the center area.

For under $100 before tip, we had a decent bottle of Spanish tempranillo plus salad (shared), 2 entrees and dessert shared. We shared a romaine wedge, which was great and much better than the standard iceberg wedge. I had shrimp and grits that were wonderful--grits filled with cheese and corn and shrimp blackened. My husband had scallops that were wonderful.... More

Don't let the location in a strip-mall fool you. This restaurant makes seriously good food with quality ingredients and an excellent presentation. The seafood, the pork chops, the vegetables and everything else tasted fresh and was prepared with care and flair. The sangria, which is made at the restaurant, is delightful and the wine selection is tremendous. You will have... More

An unlikely find in Columbia, Solstice never disappoints. There are some standard favorites always on the menu (steak frites) and some modern interpretations of Southern ingredients (grits prepared in ways my mother never dreamed of). The waiters are professional and courteous but never intrusive. In addition to an extensive wine list, there are excellent wines by the glass. The portions... More

I have visited Columbia, South Carolina twice in the past 6 months on business. On my two visits, this restaurant stood out most for quality of food and service. We were there on on Monday night and there was a special on bottles of wine for $20 which cannot be beat. The group of three shared two orders of Foie... More

I expect to get great food when I visit Seattle or Chicago, but wasn't sure what Columbia would have to offer. A friend referred me to Solstice and I have thanked him ever since. I let the waiter select everything I ate and he did an excellent job. One of my best meals ever!
