The atmosphere is very romantic, with subdued lighting and small rooms. I had the veal marsala, and it wasn't bad, but I have had better. The prices are comparable to other similar Italian restaurants. I plan on going back one more time, for the lobster ravioli. After that, it will be wait and see.

Although the owner seemed a little grumpy, the food was excellant. I had the chicken parmesan and it was done to perfection. The next time I am back in town I will eat here again.

That's because it's so small. The kitchen is tiny and I give credit to the wait staff who manage to keep everyone satisfied ( at least while we were there) Meals come out very slowly unless you get there at opening like we did. If you like your meal swimming in sauce this place is for you. The squid appetizer... More

You can always depend on fetting fresh and delicious Italian dinners at Giovanni's. If service seems a bit slow if us because everything is prepared after you order. We had 7 ladies who appreciate good food. Again, we were NOT disappointed. They prepared a special order for me because I did not want pasta. I was able to get a... More

I travel 10 states in the Southeast on a bi weekly basis for my job. I happened to select this restaurant, on a Wednesday evening 6 PM. Only one table in the entire restaurant had diners, the very rude waiter took me to a very small table for two. I preferred a booth, but he refused, he told me they... More

I am an itallian food snob. My grandmother was born and raised in Italy so I grew up on authentic Italian. Giovanni's delivers. A small, family run resteraunt that is only missing the checked table clothes to be a stero type. The staff will present specials, but don't ask what is good. The owner always says, "it's all good!" Have... More

We enjoy this restaurant very much. Multiple visits and never disappointed. Food is fresh and authentic, if a little pricy. Our waiter was excellent (sorry... no name) with our first visit. Much more attentive, friendly , yet professional than others we have had.

I had heard several people talk about Giovanni's, but had never actually met anyone who had eaten there. But last Sat night, poor planning and long waits elsewhere place us on Gio's doorstep. There was a wait here too, and upon hearing the maitre d's decidedly Spanish accent, we wondered what we'd gotten into. But there is no denying the... More

We heard a lot of great reviews of this place and wanted to check it out. Since we had to work a little late one Friday, we decided to head straight over to the restaurant from work. We arrived at 6:00 and got one of the last available tables. By the time we got our drinks, the line of waiting... More

Yep. Just so so. I waited in line for about 20 minutes (they do not accept reservations) and was assured by others in line that it was well worth the wait. I looked forward to truly authentic Italian cooking, something I know a little about. The service is slow but the small place was packed. The kitchen is tiny so... More
