I have been coming to the Long Island Cafe for many years whenever I am at the Isle of Palms. This place is a treasure for the island and one of the best restaurants anywhere. I was just there this past week and we ate there twice. Everything on the menu is fabulous, the service is perfect and there is... More

Don't let the less than stellar location deter you. The Long Island Cafe is a great restaurant. The owners are a young husband and wife team. She came to our table to be sure we were happy with everything and was an involved presence in the dining room. The husband is the chef. The seating was a bit cramped as... More

We found this place on trip advisor but still had modest expectations considering its location in a half-dead strip mall. Don't let that keep you away! What a great surprise. Wonderful service from our friendly and attentive waitress, and everything from delicious sour dough bread and fine salad, perfectly prepared fish and veggies, to the amazing chocolate ganache cake was... The food was very good and the service was fantastic! Not much character as far as the restaurant, they were trying a little too hard to be "classy". But, food and service would bring me back

I had the combination fried seafood plate for $19.95 (flounder, shrimp, scallops). I enjoyed this meal as well as the cheesy grits and vegetables that I chose as the sides. The breading was minimal and the seasoning was just to my liking. My waitress was attentive to me. The decor was somewhat bland but acceptable. Cloth tablecloths show an effort... More

The lobster ravioli was simply amazing! My husband had the oyster/flounder/shrimp plate which he loved. You cannot go wrong with the cheese grits as a side!

Decided to try the restaurant based on everyone's reviews. Had driven by and didn't think much of it from the outside. Glad we tried it, food was a solid B, waitstaff was an A+ (yeah Leslie), decor could use some work (office building ceilings), but definitely worth a second visit the next time we are back in town. Thanks for... More

We were visiting the area for the first time. We had a party of 4 for lunch. The strip mall where the restaurant is located is undergoing re- construction/refurbishment and I know we wouldn't have stopped if just driving by. We were somewhat apprehensive as we drove in. However the restaurant was open and tastefully decorated in black and white.... More

I've been going to Long Island Cafe since they opened. Always been a good, dependable restaurant. The new owners have made several improvements in decor and food. The new clams app is my new fave. They've kept the best of the old menu and added some great new items along with creative specials.
