Description: The Mill Pond Steak House is the only up-scaled steakhouse in the midlands. We offer the best Certified Angus Beef that is aged for 40 plus days before it is served to the guest. We have a well developed and seasoned staff that is committed to your dining needs. It starts from the time you pick up the phone to make a reservation to the time you are welcomed at the front door and lasts forever. When you arrive to the Mill Pond Steakhouse in Boykin, SC you take a step back in time. The restaurant is composed of three historic buildings established in the early 19th century. The kitchen was the old Post office, the bar was the old General Store and the main dining room was another General Store relocated to its present location. From the heart pine floors to the reclaimed lumber that was once walls of several cabins in Boykin, you realize that you are surrounded by history. Mill Pond Steak House offers rustic elegance with southern hospitality and a one of a kind dining experience.

My wife and I went here for our wedding anniversary tonight. It was our first time here. I'd have to say this is a true dichotomy of a restaurant...an antique, run-down, old general store and outbuildings for the venue, and Morton's Steakhouse prices on the menu! However, we left very happy. The food and service were both top notch. Everything... More

Realize that #1 and #2 in this list are the same place, just different names. Yes it is a drive to find this place but wow is it worth it. Outstanding food, friendly service and a scenic setting. I've eaten her with large groups, small groups and just a couples dinner and have never been disappointed. Whenever we visit the... More

Jamie, the chef I raved about in my last review, has left. His assistant has taken over. He learned a lot, as our meal was excellent. Being a Wednesday night, there was a small number of people, yet the wait between appetizer and entrees (we were a group of six) was almost an hour. All entree's were excellent BUT one... More

My family is accustomed to high-end food and we were excited to try the Mill Pond Steakhouse. The atmosphere and decor are elegant and beautiful. The tables are nicely spread out and face a lovely view. But the service was frustrating, the portions were off-putting, and the price very steep. We waited 35 minutes before getting our order for wine... More

I had a great time, and a great experience. The food was amazing, the view and atmosphere was, too and the service was very, very good. That being said, the place is incredibly expensive and this is a place where knowing people goes a long way. I thought it was a bit boring and stuffy and the food was not... More

In the middle of nowhere, or almost nowhere. On an active mill pond complete with every bird in SC and gators too. A bit "off-putting" from the outside, but wait till you go in. Great view (if your seated near the floor to ceiling windows) the best teamwork staff I've ever had the privilege to be served by, and Chef... More

A bit off the beaten path, but well worth the effort. Excellent service, fine dining, say "YES" to the cobbler dessert! Lovely view. Moderately priced.

My husband and i ate here recently and had a wonderful meal! The only thing I regretted was that it was dark outside and we didn't get to see out of the large windows. The place is very unique, it is in three or four joined old-timey type stores, kind of out in the middle of no-where! But when we... More

The Mill Pond is an incredible combination of wonderful food, service and atmosphere. The beautiful views of wildlife (alligators, birds, etc.) while dining are priceless. The Mill Pond has a very peaceful and relaxing ambiance. The food/service are impeccable. We had the ahi tuna appetizer, fried oysters, "Cowgirl" steak and mahi mahi with a side of fried okra. The young... More

The food was very good. It is expensive. The Filet and Salmon are good. It is a very relaxed atmosphere. I enjoyed the whole experience will definitely go back.
