The place is a little small, but it has a lot of Texas character to it. I love the brisket and the pork. I had the sausage, too, but I typically like a spicy sausage...I've been a number of times, and I will be back, again....

We stopped here on the advice of our hotel front desk clerk. The man apparently knows his 'que.
While this place touts itself as a Texas style BBQ joint, unlike most Texas places, they do pork better than brisket. My wife had a chicken and brisket combo while I enjoyed a pulled pork, brisket and smoked sausage combo. All was...

Good Ribs - Tennessee style - smoked and meaty with the sauce on the side. The rest (side dishes, brisket, etc.) were just o.k. The best barbecue are the small places you find off the freeway exits with picnic tables. There's also a REALLY good one in Franklin TN - on the south end of town - with black-eyed peas,...

We stop here every trip to Nashville, it's just south of town. Get the cowboy beans and sausage or the platter to sample several items. Good specials and beers. Cool honkytonk atmosphere. Great sauce, feels much like a BBQ in Texas!! Not a place for kids really.
I went to Judge Bean's with a business associate from the local area. Being from out of town, I had never eaten there nor had my associate. We were both pleasantly surprised. I had one of the combinations and got pork and brisket. The pork was a little on the fatty side for my taste but it was very good....

Passing through on our trip and like to try local establishments. I had the tacos, one chicken and one brisket. The chicken was really good, but the brisket on the other hand was cold and greasy. The beans were great, the mac and cheese not so great. Overall, the food was OK, but I don't know if I'd go back...

Just left and had to quickly write to say how great this place was.
Service was speedy and being that this is a Texas BBQ place of course I started with a Shiner on Draft. It was buy one get one free so I never went thirsty - so 2 draft shiners for $4 total...starting off pretty good eh?

Loved absolutely everything about Judge Beans! We had a fabulous meal (too much - as my husband likes to say we left stuffed), great friendly staff - I'm going again tonight!
Nice smokey flavor on the half chicken, Great BBQ beef and we found the ribs to be really good, Cowboy beans were spicy, and salads were cool and tasty. Good quick friendly service too. There is a reason they have been in business so long.
The bar-b-que was good but not great. Overpriced for the quality of the food. Food was warm but not hot.
