Very average, American-style Mexican fare. I have no idea how this is rated so highly in the Johnson City area.

This is my favorite restaurant of all time. I was sad to leave JC because I wouldn't be able to enjoy this place any longer. The staff is great and the food is even better!! Must try: Pollo tapatio, carnitas tacos!! There is not a bad dish at this place.

Personally, El Charolais (or El Kroger, as I hear it called given it's convenient location next to Kroger) is my favorite restaurant in town. This place has the best grilled shrimp around! Did not find one sour face in the place. All are friendly and the food is awesome and the place is CLEAN!

I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner....very fresh tasting. The chips and salsa were well above par in quality, The monster margaritas were fantastic...maybe a little too good, I had two along with a beer and few shots of tequila so I was feeling fabulous when I was leaving!!

It has a good Americanized Mexican taste. Big menu. Daily specials. Clean and conveniently next to Kroger supermarket.
