We stopped in here late morning for a decent tea and bacon roll and weren't let down. Service was prompt (until it came to paying which took a while!) and the quality good.

On our way home we stopped off in Braemar for a coffee. Weren't we fortunate to choose this restaurant - wish now we had been hungry as the coffee and cake was deeelish. Loved the waiter and waitress in the traditional black and white dress code. Oh you make me proud to be Scottish.

Went in here today after having the tumerity to try and order some food for myself, my wife and two small children at the Fife Arms. Sadly it was 2.01pm therefore we were virtually ejected, as we had very rudely missed their strict deadline by 60 seconds. Sorfy, I thought I was the customer. I digress. We then tried Gordons... We are glad we chose Gordon's for our lunch meal. The staff (2 ladies) was welcoming, friendly and efficient. We had a very nice minestrone soup, followed by the best fresh scone ever... together with a lovely cop o' tea. The memory of its taste will remain with me for a long, long time ! The other homemade cakes looked... More

We went to Braemar for the 2012 games, and had a wonderful time! Even on this extremely busy occasion, the staff did well to seat and serve us, both on the day before the games, and the day of! There was one young lady (Annabelle) that was particularly charming, and left us asking "why wasn't our (single) son with us... More

It's only small, but well worth a wait for a table if you have to. Very attentive staff, good choice of food and drinks, and very sensible prices. The size of the piece of cake was very generous!! Highly recommend a visit.

We had the most surreal experience! We had previously brought friends here earlier in the year, and they have posted and rated as a '4' - which was a fair report on our previous pleasant visit. Not this time! A sign at the door said 'Wait to be seated' - so we did. Unfortunately no-one seemed to want to invite... More

The price of the food in Gordons Restaurant fits the standard, Reasonable. Although the Malteaser cake is to die for! The two waitresses were incredibly friendly, one who was a student with a very english accent and one a scottish older lady, both very nice and chatted to us and made us feel welcome. I would definatly go here again... More

After going to two hotels and being told lunch served until 2pm, we were losing hope with Braemar until we stumbled across this little gem of a place. They are open for lunch, tea, coffee, homebaking until 4!! Very friendly staff, excellent selection of sandwiches, baked tatties, etc but also main meals like burger, macaroni. Service quick and excellent value... More
