Uncle Julio's is a tradition in Fort Worth, a place where tourist often visit. It is also a place in Fort Worth where various groups have large gatherings. The food is good, but in Fort Worth there are many Tex-Mex restaurants, many choices. Uncle Julio's is not our first choice.

Every special occasion should start with a SWIRLIE - a frozen margarita layered with home-made frozen Sangria. Sooooo yummmmmmy! Add to that chips & salsa, queso and guacamole and you can't go wrong. The Tex-Mex style food here was great. Tried their mesquite salmon for an entree and it was cooked to perfection. In fact, everyone at the table had... More

Great food, reasonable prices, excellent service and terrific drinks from the bar. Uncle Julio's on Camp Bowie Blvd at I-30 just west of downtown about 4 miles has a wide selection of really excellent Tex-Mex. My wife and I ordered the grilled vegetables & tortillas - sort of like vegetarian fajitas (I know, that's an oxymoron - but, you get... More

My friend, Daniel, & I ate here one day for lunch. I had the fajitas, ' he had the chicken enchiladas. I just felt like it was too expensive for mediocre food, and service. I am a big eater of tex/mex and this place is a no go.

Food is sub-par, service is non-existent and on-site management doesn't seem to care. Go to the Dallas locations. Much better.

Great food, always busy, the pico de gallo has a nice flavor - lots of cilantro. Good fast service but it is so incredibly noisy it's hard to hear the person sitting next to you. It's great for peopel watching. Small patio looks nice and may be a bit quieter

Easy to find, parking minimal! Margaritas are in a league of their own and the chips and salsa keep flowing until your meal arrives. Super fresh food and tastes great.

With so many really good Mexican restaurants in FW that have great atmosphere, I really don't know why their large parking lot stays full. But it does and has for years so a lot of people must really like it. I have nothing against Uncle J's, just OK run of the mill large restaurant Tex-Mex.

It doesn't get better than fresh homemade tortillas and mexican butter. Pair that with a beeritas (bottle of beer dunked in a margarita) to make this one of my top 3 favorite Mexican restaurants in the Dallas/ Fort Worth metroplex.

The atmosphere is fun. Upbeat TexMex restraunt. The food is awesome and comes in large portions, so come hungry. I recommended the Guadalajara platter. It comes with steak or chicken fajitas (I go with the steak, but the chicken is great too), rice, beans, guacamole, tortillas and the most amazing shrimp brochette known to man. Just to top it off...
