The menu was rather limited, but, food was good. A little pricey for the serving size. It was a nice change from the Strand and Seawall restaurants. It has a nice neighborhood feeling.

Everytime I visit Galveston I always eat at the Mosquito Cafe. It's the best food on the island. We do eat other places but nothing compares to the fresh food served daily.

I was very impressed with the high quality of the food. I had the BLT and every ingredient was great. The bacon especially was thick and the portions generous. I would definitely return.

Salads were lukewarm, looked like they had been sitting out for a long time. Fish was horrible. Dirty outside patio. Really ruined my day to waste money. Wish I hadn't eaten that horrible food. But I was so hungry!

After seeing the greatly inflated menu prices of the tourist eateries, we wanted to have something more "normal" and asked locals where they eat. On a few instances, we were told to try Mosquitos and we so enjoyed the funky nature and great food of the place. You walk through to order your food and there are specials worthy of... More

The environment is casual and comfortable, and the food is great. Our supper was so good that I returned the next morning for breakfast.

I love Egg's Benedict and I ordered the Nancy Betsy. It was an eggs benedict with great bacon and on a croissant. I had the side of roasted potatoes that were ok. My husband had the pancakes which he said were excellent. We will definitely return here again.

Thank you for your review and for joining us for breakfast. Our style is to provide unique entrees and taking some more traditional entrees and giving them a nice 'twist' as you mentioned. For a truly unique Eggs Benedict you'll have to try our Mosquito Benedict: a house baked savory scone covered with sautéed shrimp, mushrooms, sun dried tomatoes, artichoke... More

In April of this year we were in Galveston for the IronMan. Having not never visited the city before my husband went onto Yelp looking for a place for us to dine. We may have to face the facts but my husband and I are *those* people when it comes to finding a place to eat. But...when we find "that... More

Thank you for your amazing review and for making us your go to place while in Galveston. Providing fresh made to order entrees allows us to provide a lot of flexibility to our guests to meet their dietary needs. Doctors are discovering that more and more people are gluten intolerant. We are aware of that and want our guests to... More

Great food and service! The only minor issue was that the birds on the back porch were quite aggressive going for your food and the food left on tables when people left.

Thank you for your feedback and for dining with us. We are proud to provide excellent fresh made to order entrees, an inviting atmosphere, and great service. We've tried many tactics to prevent the birds from hanging out on the patio, most have failed or only work for a short time. I've gotten a few good suggestions that I'm going... More

I had a chance to stop by Mosquito Cafe before heading to the beach for a pleasant Sunday afternoon. The menu read wonderfully with a wide variety of options to meet almost anyone's desires. I was in a burger mood and selected the bacon cheeseburger with potato salad and by dining companion choose the turkey chili. The platters arrived and... More

Thank you for your feedback and your business. Our guests tell us often that we have the best burgers on the island. The half-pound patties are Certified Angus Beef, the bacon is premium thick cut hickory smoked peppered bacon, and the cheese is Oregon's Tillamook Medium Cheddar. We're using premium quality ingredients that provide the best taste. Steve's Potato Salad... More
