Founded in 1916 the Original Mexican cafe has been going strong and still are. Some of the best Tex-Mex you can get with friendly service and reasonable prices. The shrimp quisadillas ae not to be missed.

Service was friendly and efficient. Started with chips and salsa which were excellent. I had a spinach mushroom and chicken enchilada which was one of the best meals I've ever eaten.

We ate there upon a recommendation from someone. The chips and salsa were really good as was the cold beer. However, the entree (Deluxe Mexican Dinner) was not that good. This used to be amazing when I was a kid and it was a small family restaurant with two sisters running it. Now it's just okay- nothing bad but nothing great! Atmosphere is boring too.

My husband dined at this restaurant on the off hours. We have heard that the wait and service suffers at prime times. It was good Tex-Mex food, but the wait staff could work on their people skills. We will go there again, but not at the 12 o'clock rush.

Food is good (not great) - atmosphere is good and the food is your typical Mexican fair. Margaritas were good and happy hour made the price right!! We like the location downtown but they are very busy during the week at lunch time.
