This place was pretty good. I've had much better southern italian, but it did it's job. The waiters and some of the staff were from Italy but the red sauce just tasted like it was out of a can. But it was still pretty good. I had the Caprese salad which was decent, except for the fact it was drudged... More

We met friends here for dinner last night and were surprisingly pleased. My wife had a delicious Chilean sea bass which melted like butter in your mouth. I had the Genoveze and the sauce was amazing. The bread is just a plain Italian loaf sliced with butter packets. The resraurant is BYOB so we brought 2 bottles of wine and... More

I would be the first to admit that Grapevine, Texas isn't located in Italy but this place reminds me of that little place I found in Florence last year. Great service, sauces from the old country and bread made just right. All that with BYOW and reasonable prices. It gets busy on the weekends so call ahead for reservations. flo

We took our granddaughter to the Dallas area for spring break. She loves Italian food, so that is nearly always the first thing we look for. I read all the reviews and decided to try Cafe Italia. I usually order a chicken entree and asked the waiter, and he suggested the Chicken Genovez. It was wonderful!. My granddaughter had eggplant... More

I am a foodie so ambiance is as important to me. What I love about this place are two things. (1) Excellent food. (2) BYOW (Bring Your Own WIne). I have an extensive wine collection and it is awesome that I can bring my own wine into this establishment. Staff is great as well.

We were actually told how fast we had to eat. Yup... Sorry, we have reservations... so we are going to seat you but you have to be out within an hour at the most. We left a whole lot quicker than an hour. Tried it again later with friends (because they wanted to go) food was "fair" at best.

Great place to take friends and family. Fresh pasta and bread made daily. The owners treat you like visiting family coming over for dinner. Don't see what you want on the menu. Just ask!!!

This restaurant deserves a review from a person who never writes them. I was born and raised in NY till I was 24, after that I became a flight attendant, so trust me, I get around as far as restaurants go. I officially moved to Texas in June of 2012. As a New Yorker, I've tried many NY Italian restaurants,... More

Took the kids here but was so dark I went out to my truck and got a flashlight so I could read the menu. Not kidding, embarrassed my daughter but oh well. The food was good, prices were a tad high but the non return factor is I left hungry.
