The reatuarant sits right on the bend of Caddo Lake. The view is spectacular. The frog legs and the fish fillets are great, but the alligator was overdone. The chef came out to the dining room to personally greet the customers. That was a nice touch and Madrid feel welcome.

Great food, service and prices. Would definitely visit again if in that part of the world. Went for the catfish - and it came with a whole bunch of great sides. Would recommend.

We ate here on our way to a steamboat tour the food was great, the service awesome, and the prices perfect.

It smells so good when you walk in that you can hardly wait to get your mouth around your food. Juicy, tender and just plain good and their hamburgers aren't bad either. Do miss it because when they run out of food, they close!

We stopped by Riverbend for lunch and really enjoyed the view of Caddo. We ordered the mushroom crab appetizer and Onion rings with a couple of Corona's and Ice tea. We were a little surprised at the $30 bill and will probably go to Big Pines Lodge in the future.

This is probably the nicest place in the area. Don't expect fine dining or perfection.., you're in the woods in East Texas after all. But we enjoyed having dinner there. We were at this restaurant on a Wednesday evening just at sunset. Wow! The view was phenomenal. The restaurant was nearly empty of guests. Our waitress was kind, but not warm. The food was good, but did not meet the standards of the view. I would return for drinks in the screened porch on any evening to watch the sunset.... More

The drive to this restaurant is beautiful. The restaurant itself is beautiful and in a gorgeous location right on the Caddo Riverbend. This place is so good. We had a huge appetizer and then split blackened catfish. It was all wonderful. Oh they only have fried gator on the menue but they will grill it if you ask. Grilled is so much better!!
