This place has very good Mexican food. The service is really good and friendly. Al will not spend a $1 to improve the restaurant. It could use it.
The desk clerk recommended Alfredo's as we check into our hotel. We have spent 3 days driving in rain and sleet, and we were looking for something warm and comforting to help us settle in for the evening. Alfredo's did the job. Good service, great food, cold beer, and "authentic" atmosphere. I had a small ribeye steak that was delicious... More
We were a bit leery of Alfredo's because of mixed reviews, but had a wonderful late lunch (about 2 PM, so not too crowded). Although not fancy (when seeking out good Mexican food, who expects the Ritz?), we found the place to be clean and welcoming. We were greeted and seated by the owner, and our server was lovely. Lunch on 10/21/13 - bland. Flies and restaurant is very cold. Food not delivered hot either. Have had several meals here in the past - food quality has declined. Salsa was still good and the only thing worth eating. Will not be back.
Alfredo's is a hole in the wall and looks like a dump from the outside. Actually, it looks like a dump from the inside as well. But the service and food quality are A++ ! It is a must visit for lunch or supper if you're passing through Pecos, TX (and I hope you are just passing through this otherwise... More
stopped here in the middle of nowhere to have dinner. We didn't expect too much but chose this restaurant because of the reviews on TA. The exterior and interior is nothing to write home about, but food is surprisingly good and well presented as well. Really good guacamole.
I drive through Pecos frequently and I almost always try to stop in at Alfredo's when I do. I've never been disappointed and service has always been good. I generally get the chicken enchilada plate with green sauce (charo instead of refried beans) and it's always been good enough to have me come back for more. Building is old, interior... More

Just a short road trip from home, great weather (read: no spring wind), the top on the Shelby came down and I was off to places unknown for a day. Not knowing exactly where I would end up, I found myself in of all places, Pecos, Texas. And what a great little find on I20 for lunch. Cruising through town,... More
Large portions. The taco was welled filled with meat and veggies. The tamale was good and the cheese enchildaa was good.
