Food is classic comfort food and service is always friendly and efficient. Also good value. During visits to Waco I've eaten here many times and never been disappointed. The desserts are very good. I've only had one complaint there and they promptly took care of it.

We visited this location before the lunch hour rush so the environment was calm and quiet. The food was fresh - possibly because it was early in the day - and tasty. The salad dressing tasted homemade (whether it was or not) and the entrees were adequate in proportion. I had the vegetable plate and enjoyed the squash, salad, and... More

we eat at the cotton patch in Waco Tx. every Thursday. The employees are so nice and helpful. My Mom is 87 years old and uses a walker, no problem ! Someone takes her walker and returns it when we are ready to go. To me that is respect and kindness. The food is soooo good! I like the chicken... More

Whether in Stephenville Tx or Waco it has consistently good food and service. The chicken fried steak always excellent and the vegetables fresh, colorful, seasoned just right. Ice Tea glass always filled.

My chicken fried steak was about as good as it gets, and my friend enjoyed her vegetable platter. The service could use some polishing, however. There were 8 people waiting outside when the restaurant opened. A young woman unlocked the door and put a sign out advertising a special, then walked back in. No greeting, no "please come in"....not a... More

Normally the food is good. I like the veggie plate. Large servings of chicken-fried steak. It is also usually clean, but once we saw a roach on our table. I was so grossed out it took a while before we could go back. However, the mgr was very apologetic, and comped our meal.

The food is good and the prices are good value Service is friendly and prompt. The restaurant is old and needs some cleaning and updating. The waiting area was not fresh smelling.

Average food for average price. The party melt is better at Whataurger, nothing like the pic on the menu. Also I ordered tender platter and received few when compared to the other orders on the tables around me. Not consistent! The chicken fried steak was a manly portion for $10.00.

It is okay food. Chicken fried steak is good and the sweet tea is good as well. Service is a bit slow and they always forget your rolls so ask. I always used to get the pot roast because it was so yummy but for some reason it is not on the menu anymore. :(
