Mediocre food, lousy service, small portions, other than that it was good. Can't understand what all the fuss is about, Waco must not have many options for food.

If you are in Waco this is a great place to go! The food isn't haute cuisine but it is substantial and tasty. Service was great.

Great service, good basic restaurant/grill food. Biggest problem is waiting for a table! George's has two restaurants in Waco and both are very busy. Hewitt location is a great family place with outdoor seating in good weather.

We recently visited George's Restaurant in Waco because we wanted a really good burger and we were not disappointed. We almost changed our minds when we saw that it was a 1/2 pound burger. This is not actually a restaurant, it's a test. If you eat here and think it's terrific, you flunked and are therefore a hick. The bun on my chicken sandwich was one of those pasty white flour deals that sticks together if you pinch it, the chicken meat had cartilage on it and it was way over salted and greasy.
