Penny Cluse has amazingly good breakfast/brunch food. Lunch is ok. Coffee is average. But their eggs and pancakes and waffles and various specials are far above average and really delicious.

This place is all around awesome! Their portions are HUGE, and so reasonable priced. We were in VT for a week and went three mornings! Their Penny Pickler Bloody Mary is delicious. We ordered a large fruit plate and it had four slices of watermelon, figs, kiwis, everything it was just awesome. The first day I had maple walnut French... More

We went on a holiday weekend and the wait was said to be over an hour. Only about 35 minutes passed before the four of us sat. It is quaint and spacious inside. The waitstaff were great and worked together to refill our drinks and deliver our food. The food was very good and very large portions. Prices were reasonable... More

Bright and open dining space, laid back vibe. Great food. Even breakfast Bloody Marys, which we did not try. Would definitely revisit.

This cafe offers a varied menu of breakfast, brunch and lunch options. We shared the three-egg omelette, which was more than enough for two people, along with an order of fresh fruit. Good fruit variety, which included cherries, kiwi, strawberries, two kinds of melon, pineapple, and citrus. Good coffee and prompt service. Nice place to go for a filling breakfast... More

Went for breakfast Sunday of Graduation weekend. Wait was about 45 min for 7 of us but can you really give someplace a bad review because of the wait??? Seriously? And what a better place to wait than church street in Burlington! We all had different breakfast ranging from their wonderful fresh smoothies to eggs, biscuits and gravy, cinnamon french... More

Penny Cluse is always busy...we got in for a late (2-ish) lunch. Ingredients are fresh (& local when possible). Generous portions, delightful server. More of a diner atmosphere (as opposed to bistro), so bear that in mind if ambience is important. We'll return.

I came here for breakfast on Saturday, and I left satisfied and speechless! No other restaurant has given me better service; my coffee cup was never empty, my water glass was always full, and when the food came, it was colorful, fresh, and unbelievably delicious. I cannot wait to return to Burlington just so that I can come back here!... More

We went here for lunch. The restaurant is convenient to Church Street, the pedestrian marketplace. The food was good and we were able to visit with our company in an intimate little restaurant.

I had breakfast here a few days ago when I was visiting the area. I had no juice with the breakfast, I had the breakfast early in the week with no waiting. I paid about 13.50 dollars plus tip. I thought it was pricey. Sausage had no flavor. There is nothing special about the place, no ambience. Service was very good.... More
