This little restaurant has great service, good food, and makes a nice oasis for sitting over a drink and having a casual lunch or dinner. The lasagne is excellent and the Caprese salad is wonderful. Service is very good and servers are very responsive to problems if there are any.

We had a wonderful dinner at Mambo Italiano last week. So many of the entrees sounded delicious, but after careful consideration I settled on the pollo parmesan. It comes with sautéed vegetables and penne pasta and is topped with a flavorful marinara sauce. Our waitress was great and she provided very helpful information about the menu when my dining companion... More

My husband and I joke that we should try other places...but, why? We've never had a bad meal or experience at Mambo. We've been regulars for years. Excellent food, great staff, cozy and reasonable.

So we are looking for a nice place to take our daughter for her 22nd birthday. We decided on this lil cafe down in the Fairhaven district. The place is small but quaint and the waitress Anne knew the menu and was very efficient. The first thing she brought out was some warm crusty bread which we dipped in olive... More

Went for a Saturday night dinner, but early to avoid a crowd. It was packed already, would recommend reservations. It is a small compact place. Good food choices, but nothing particularly unique or creative. Limited Wine Selection, could add some wonderful WA wines for interest. Small bar above that overlooks the dining room, so when they seat at the bar... More

This past weekend my family and i decided to visit this place we had heard a lot about. It all started well, we seated ourselves, the waitperson brought us our menus (lunch) and we ordered. i had the lasagna, my wife the fettucini with porta bella mushrooms and the kids had a pizza and kids spaghetti. My lasagna was unimpressive... More

Food overly salty and the wine selection poor! The waitress was nice, but poor thing had a cold and kept sniffing..really she should be home. I don't like being served food by people that are I'll.

There are other much better Italian restaurants in the area. Felt this one was over priced and the food was nothing special.

It was almost like the meatball were pre cooked and then microwaved to serve. Didn't even brown there meatballs. Weak. Hard to find good Italian food in Washington.

Very casual restaurant - lots of college students on the night we visited - but superb Italian food and the pizza we spied at the next table looked yummy.
