I would not recommend their hamburgers. The meat patties are very thin and kind of like shoe leather. They do have other good food. Breakfast is good.Service was good. Prices reasonable.

Good breakfast place with locals as retired folks, working folks and college kids avoiding lousy cafeteria food at school. You do smell a little greasy after you leave but the food IS really good. Try the "shreds" aka hash browns. Big orange juice machine means plenty of fresh OJ!

One of the best breakfasts in Spokane. Try the California Benedict! Great Pancakes. Small and can be crowded on weekends. Get there early but worth the wait.

Pros: Plenty of very energetic and conscientious servers. Lots of crazy hot sauce choices. Hand decorated, personal coffee cups for regulars. Big GU theme. Friendly atmosphere. Many breakfast choices. Clean bathroom. Cons: Loud, especially because most of the guests were large, noisy and guffawing packs of college students. Tables so close that you could not get from your seat to... More

If you want good service and value, the Kalico Kitchen is the place to go. Early bird special, every day 6:00-8:00. 2 eggs,2 bacon, hasbrowns and toast for $4.59. Coffee is $1.65. Lunch is just as good.

Menu is excellent and varied. Really good Monts Cristo sandwiches. I have never been disappointed. Our waitress, Katie, was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. A must do when friends and family are visiting. Breakfast and lunch. You may want to check times b/f you go.

My Groupon warned me of a pending expiration. Yikes. I visited this popular Spokane favorite at 7 AM on Sunday and was seated promptly with friendly service and delight with my Groupon! This is just like my prior experience. Happy laughing cajoling and gentle teasing of the regulars. This is like going home again to a friendly family for breakfast.... More

Looking for a crappy college diner to get some Gonzaga spirit? This is it. The decor is rundown, seats are broken, and tables are sticky. Menu choices include sandwiches on Wonder bread, canned fruit cocktail, iceberg lettuce, and greasy fried food. I was surprised to see this rated so highly on Trip Advisor for being so mediocre. It must be... More

My son pushed the grade of this place from average to very good. He said the pancakes were "very good" compared to "mom's average pancakes". I had corn beef hash and eggs...straight out of the can.Place was packed, which is usually a good sign. Fresh squeezed OJ was a bonus. Diner coffee. Service was friendly and efficient. Bathrooms were dirty... More

Stopped in for breakfast. Had country breakfast which came with waffle, bacon and eggs. Everything tasted excellent. Generous 4 strips of bacon. The coffe is very good. Charming, home town atmosphere where you can easily appreciate that there are numerous regulars who frequent the place no doubt because of the great food, excellent price, and friendly servers. Will definitely return.
