Food is now better since they no longer have a "chef" but a cook. Diane is a fabulous waitperson/hostess and handles all of the serving alone. As part of the Country Inn, it may be closing in the near future because of the bankruptcy.

Stopped here for lunch this past Wed. We used to stop here annually on our way to vacation in NC and have usually enjoyed the meal, but it has been several years since our last stop. This time was a disappointment. 1. Service was indifferent (FYI to management: our receipt indicates server #1) and neglectful. Server did not even ask... More

I enjoyed that the West Virginia Room was convenient to get to as it is located in The Country Inn. The service was top notch!

The perfect place for guests of the hotel to dine. The menu is great, but more than a few items were not available.

Lunch was tasty and plenty for leftovers! Only complaint was I asked to switch cheeses on my sandwich and that was overlooked. However, the waitress made our table sweet tea upon our request, so over all that was redeeming! Would go back.

The last time I ate at the Country Inn was literally during a changeover of management. We sat, and sat, and sat... No information until we finally heard the problem was (apparently) a flying changeover of management including (also, apparently) the kitchen staff. That was several years ago, and I had avoided the place until a couple of days ago.... More

There was no one at the restaurant to seat us; we had to ask the desk to send someone. Food was uninviting and over-priced. Service left much to be desired.

I like the West Virginia Dining Room and the Morgan Tavern at the Country Inn in Berkeley Springs because they offer a variety of sandwhiches for lunch at a very reasonable price. The waitresses have been amazing. They are friendly and attentive and want to please. Our favorite choices include crab cakes which are the best of any restaurant in... More

The entire evening was great from beginning to end. The young lady who served the dinner was pleasant, smiling, and very helpful ordering. Tiffany explained the dishes and the feed back from other dinners. The atmosphere in the West Virginia Room was intimate and the decor very grand matching the ambiance of The Country Inn. Paintings and antiques fulled the... More
