I can remember coming to Tenuta's as a small child, and it still is a great place! Wonderful place to stock up on gourmet and Italian specialities. If they don't have it, ask and they are remarkably customer oriented! Some of the best prices in town on spices and wine and liquor. A little crowded, but that is part of... More

I think this place is been around since the Middle Ages – more or less. They have a tremendous deli and wine and cigars. And it smells so good. In the summer they have an outside eatery that sells brats, hamburgers, hotdogs, things like that.

You'll never see more wine bottles (from a buck to hundreds) from so many countries in your life. (Be careful--I've bumped into and broken a couple, but wasn't required to pay for them.) But the delicatessen is likely to offer anything you've seen in NYC plus things you hadn't even thought of. Go in, take some deep breaths of the... More

If you need authentic Italian products in this area, TENUTA'S is the place to go. We've been coming here in the 21 years I've been in the Chicago area. Every time were in Kenosha area for family functions we always stop in. Key notes: back section has popular wines at buy one get one prices! The brats outside during the... More

Went for lunch with old friend on his recommendation. I experienced a old restaurant in need of updating with average Italian fair, nothing to brag about.

This is a great stop. Much larger inside than the outside appearance. First eye-catcher is the meat counter and adjoining liquor section (which is pretty large)...then you realize that this is only a small portion of the market. The depth of the collected goods in the market could easily take over an hour to look at...now try to choose what... More

Tenuta's is a Great Italian Delicatessen (Not a Restaurant). When you first go into Tenuta's, please notice the aroma of all the different cheeses, breads, food, etc. ... a sheer delight for the senses. WOW! You can find practically anything you want at Tenuta's. A complete deli with all the different Italian cheeses, cold meats, salads, olives, hot sandwiches-to-go, frozen... More

Only place to find cheese stuffed olives. Many different cheese and deli style meats to choose from. Muffalottas are the best tasting sandwiches around.
