Krista's was an excellent place until she decided to close it in mid December of 2011.

Friendly, casual atmosphere and good bakery and quiche make this a nice locally-owned option in Portage's sea of chain fast-food restaurants. Coffee-shop feel with modern but not too weird sandwiches, quiche, and home-baked goods.

This is by far the most comfortable place to buy breakfast or lunch in Portage. It is locally owned, served house-baked bread and pastries, and creates mouthwatering soups. I haven't been able to find a cafe quite like this one in all of Columbia County, so I strongly recommend this place.

Krista's Kitchen in Portage was marvelous. We ate quiche, sandwiches, baked goods and everything was really great. The staff was friendly, the restaurant was lovely... a first rate dining experience.
