We were a party of 3 with a reservation & were seated right away. One ordered a pomegranate martini which was very good - the right amount of sweetness. They have many bottled beers but do not have a menu - when my companion asked the server what bottled beers they had she said "most kinds." So he asked for... More

Attended a business dinner following a locals recommendation. We had a quiet spot for a good dinner and discussion. For a small town, the setting in an old railroad car was fun. The food was good, not great. The menu had a nice variety of offerings that were interesting. I had a spicy shrimp pasta that was good. The Caesar... More

Put it this way: I hadn't seen steak Diane on a menu in years. The food was fine, but don't go here for cutting-edge cuisine. (Father Fat's, in downtown Stevens Point, is apparently a better bet for that, but it was closed that night.) The fairly pricey menu doesn't veer too far from traditional preparations and is heavy on sauces,... More

What a great dining experience - I live in Madison and lived in Chicago - The Silver Coach could succeed in either - it's definitely upscale with creative touches to classic entrees - the petite tenderloin rivals our favorite in Madison and the halibut was perfect in prep and a complimentary sauce that wasn't overpowering. Our server was knowledgable, friendly... More

Excellent food & service. Good idea to make reservations as space is limited. Two private rooms are available for intimate dining.

My date and I both ordered steak. Not only did it take forever to be served, but the food was horrible! One of the worst steaks I have ever had in my life. My date agreed... called it salisbury steak. Mine was covered in 3 types of mustard. Really? Who puts mustard on steak? I can't believe this place is... More

This place was recommended by locals to me for fine dining. Anything but! I was seated at a table so small I had little room for my tea, water and entree! Ordered Shrimp which were so over cooked, I could not eat them. So left early. Sent email to owners them of my experience. I did not receive apology. No... More

Quite expensive but you can't get food like this anywhere else in the area. Maybe in Chicago but not around here. Great service and the food is sooooooooooo good I dream about it for weeks after. Who would think you would get this quality from an old railroad car.

This was our first visit to the Silvercoach and it was a nice experience not a wow but nice! The food and service was very good. This could be a wow experience if the decor and menu was updated. Appearance is a little more like a supper club than fine dining and menu needs an update. The entrees are a... More

This is a great restaurant. Great Food. We have eaten there many times. Only complaint is that the menu doesn't change much and specials are often regular menu items.
