We ordered the filet medium rare with a loaded baked potato. It was done to perfection. The meal came steaming hot after we had finished our side salads. The waitress was very attentive and looked after our every need. There were many other choices on the menu. Their specialty is steaks. All of the meals looked well prepared. We would... More

We have been staying at the Big Bear for more years than we can count. The current owners, Bill and Jody, always make us feel like we are coming Home!!! This place has Ma and Pa written all over it, and we love it! It is rustic, clean, and located at the edge of town. The location affords us a... More

I would eat here again. My wife got the Bearclaw: Ribs, Shrimp, Mashed Potatoes which was pretty good. And I got the NY Strip USDA Prime (locally sourced). It comes out similar to Ruth's Chris style of a hot plate with melted butter. Her meal was good and mine was a bit better. With some sides and beers, our bill... More

Had eaten in the Chop House in Sheridan, Wyoming and loved it but the one in Cody does not measure up. My daughter and I had dinner reservations with her four small children and we were seated in the bar at a high table which was difficult with the little ones. I ordered the lamb chops and my daughter had... More

Lots of people here, all of us had a great meal and service. It was a bit crowded but lively. Good service from the bar and reasonable prices. We'll return here on our next trip to Cody.

At first the service appears to fantastic but when dinner came three bites into my salad..... Wife ha chicken fried chicken, she's a major player in this, and she rated it top shelf. Slow it down, I know the turn ratio on a table is profit but come on. I think we were in and out in 25 minutes. Just... More

Crowded scene, but nice. The food was delicious. Someone recommended the Fried Green Tomatoes, oh my they were YUMMY. My filet was perfectly cooked, my son's ribs were delicious.

Passing through on our exploration of The West and asked around for a nice place for beef for lunch. Nice restaurant frequented by locals...the waitress, Sarah, was very nice and on the spot three times to refill my hot tea. She mentioned the locally raised yak which I had with steamed broccoli. The burger was not surpassed by any burger... More

Had a superb fillet steak on my last visit, service is excellent and probably the best steakhouse in Cody. Friendly staff and good beer too.
